Seaweed Foraging Trip to Clonea, Followed by Demo

To celebrate National Bike week, we are holding a Seaweed Forage and Cookery Event on Sunday 15th June. Meet at 11 am at the Tannery to cycle out to Clonea. You will need a bike but we have 4 adult bikes and two junior bikes here which you are more welcome to borrow on a first come first serve basis. Clonea strand has several edible seaweeds which you will pick with Marie Power as your guide. Having picked suitable seaweed, return to the Tannery where Marie will demo how to prepare seaweed and how to make sweet and savoury dishes including bread, soup, ‘Irish sushi’, smoothies, carageen moss and more.
